RIVER POINT LANDING features over 500 feet of waterfront extending on a point out to the Mudd River and kayaks are available for your use; dock space is available if you bring a boat. It' a great spot for fishermen, bird watchers and manatee lovers. Manatees frequent the waters in front especially in winter mornings, frolicking in the spring just in front of the parking lot. Fishing is usually good from the shoreline and in the nearby waters of the river.
Ammenities include Cable TV, Wi-Fi, phones, laundry facilities, fishing and kayak use.

For thse of you who remember when we had another location on Shoal Line Blvd., we have sold that motel and it will be operating as Manatee Landing Weeki Wachee soon. We will continue to assist with their bookings for a while.

PLEASE - NO SMOKING inside! You may smoke outside, but there will be a surcharge of $100 if you insist on smoking inside the rooms.

PET POLICY as of Sept 7, 2016

We love our pets, but don't impose them others. Small (under 20 pounds) dogs and cats permitted, but you must pick up after them. If your dog is a barker please do not leave them in the room when you leave. Barking is disturbing to others. Any exception MUST be worked out in advance.

No aggressive dogs allowed.

Sorry, but single night rentals are not practical for us. Also we do not take credit cards as the fees are too high to justify us using them.

Everything you need is there: Linens, cooking utensils, stove (hotplate in efficiencies), microwave, refrigerator, phone, Wi-Fi, TV, and a laundry room.

Dock and kayak use available -- Sorry, We don't have a boat ramp, but the Bayport ramp is just down the road and you can bring your boat back to our dock. That way you can launch and retrieve your boat in the non busy times.

The 2017 scallop season runs fo July 1 to Sept 24. Scalloping is very popular and can be done by old and young alike. The boat ramps will, be extremely crowded on the weekends during the season. If you stay with us you can leave your boat in the water at our dock and it's just a sort trip to the Gulf.

The Mud river isn't muddy - It's a beautiful mix of fresh and salt water and serves as a nursery area for many saltwater species. You'll also see many types of birds in the water and along the shoreline.

There are 5 county parks within a 5 miles:

Pine Island offering a beach, swimming, gazebo's and Willy's Tropical Breeze Cafe

Bayport with boat ramps, fishing pier, observation deck, gazebo's, picicking, and food by the Bayport Inn.

Rogers Park on the Weeki Wachee offers a beach, playground and boat and kayak ramp. The Upper Deck restaurant is just across the river.

Jenkins Creek is a favorite with it's fishing pier, and boat ramp for smaller boats and kayaks. NEW in 2017 a kayak trail from Jenkiins Creek to Bayport with a side trip to Redfish Bayou. Bring your fishing rod on this trip.

Linda Pederson Park is just across the Shoal Line Blvd. from Jenkins Creek and is home of SWAMPFEST the first weekend in March every year. There's a beach, swimming in the Hernando Spring run, fishing from the bank or docks, a Handicapped fishing pier and observation tower that affords views of fabulous sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico are just off Shoal Line Blvd at the northeast entrance.
